How to Make Grilled Cheese and Influence People Valentine’s Day is approaching, and not all of us can afford to take our partners to Nobu or Mastro’s. If you are in that situation, do not worry. I have you covered. Follow my steps below to a T and your partner will continue to come back for more.  Creating the Ultimate Grilled Cheese, Tomato Soup, and Chips Combo There is a misconception about this meal. People have begun to associate it with a rainy day, where you are cuddled on the couch, watching your favorite shows, and eating. But that is where they have gone wrong. While that does go perfectly, this can be anyday. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner. That’s how good I make it. This isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience, a ritual even. As an expert in maximizing those in-between moments of life, I’ll guide you to the perfect feast that nourishes both body and soul.  The Grilled Cheese: A Masterclass in Melty Perfection A grilled cheese is deceptively simple, which is the first mi...

Struggle to Success: Gucci Mane For my book 1 post, I chose to write about The Autobiography of Gucci Mane . The book was originally introduced to me by my biology teacher in my freshman year of high school. Since then, I have read the book twice. His story is not just about music but also about his resilience, redemption, and personal growth. While Gucci Mane has grown to become one of the most influential rappers, the book offers insight to readers into the man behind the music. We can see how his upbringing, experiences within the industry, and legal troubles all helped aid in the success of his career. Given his strong influence and reputation for authenticity within his music, I was attracted to this book because he narrates his own story and the lessons he shares along the way. Due to Gucci Mane narrating the book, I find it to be very compelling and raw. His writing style is very straightforward and engaging, which makes it feel as if he is speaking directly to the reader. He do...

ASSIGNMENT 2: JOB (FINAL)

This past semester, I had the opportunity to work for Fox Sports, an exciting job where I collaborated with prominent figures like Tom Brady. However, the job that left the most lasting impact on me wasn’t one in the sports industry—it was my high school job at a car wash. At first, it seemed like a simple gig. My friends convinced me to join them at the local car wash near our houses, and what I thought would be a short-term job turned into a year-long experience. On the surface, it seemed straightforward: cars pull up, people hand over their keys, and drive away with a clean vehicle. But behind the scenes, there were challenges I never anticipated. In this post, I’ll share a few details my friends failed to mention before I started—things that might make you think twice before signing up for a job like this yourself. Battling the Cold Working at a car wash during the winter was brutal. The doors opened at 7 AM, which meant some mornings required a 6:30 AM start in freezing Colorado t...

Assignment 2: JOB

This past semester I worked for Fox Sports, which I found to be a very interesting job where I worked with prominent figures like Tom Brady. However, I think a job that had a more lasting impact on me was in high school when I worked at a car wash. My friends had convinced me to join them in working at the carwash near our houses, which ended up being yearlong . Sure, you pull up, hand over your keys, and walk away with a clean car, but there is a lot more that goes into it. In this post, I will take you through a few details that my friends failed to mention to me when starting at the carwash, so maybe you don’t get roped into it as well.      The three main parts of the job that made it unforgettable were:     Battling the cold   People coming in with absolutely disgusting cars   Patience     Battling the cold     Working during the winter was absolutely brutal . The car wash would open at 7 am, so some mornings I had to be ...

WHO YOU ARE MATTERS - Jack Williams

Hello, I am Jack Williams. I am currently a junior at USC majoring in mathematics/economics. I was born in Chicago, where I lived for 10 years before moving to Denver, Colorado. Since moving to Colorado, I have come to enjoy being outdoors, whether that is snowboarding, hiking with my mom, or biking. My dream job is to go into entertainment law, so I am beginning to study for the LSAT in hopes of attending law school after graduating from USC. I believe that I am like my parents because they have gifted me with a strong work ethic. In addition, I have picked up my dad's love for sports and my mom's love for the outdoors. I am unlike them in many ways, one of which is that I do not like vegetables. I feel as if my parents have set expectations for me to have a better life than they had. However, they do not pressure me into certain career choices or ways of living. I believe that their goal as a parent was to give my sister and me opportunities to succeed. Through that, I have s...
